Ricky Crawford
Ricky Crawford brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Houston Athletics coaching staff as he has produced talented ballplayers everywhere he has been.
After playing at Hill College as a pitcher, Crawford transferred to Sam Houston State University, becoming a Graduate Assistant Coach for the Bearkats, and helping them to a 1989 Southland Conference Championship and NCAA Regional Appearance.
Shortly after working at SHSU, Ricky started his professional coaching career at Smithville High School where he served as the Head Baseball Coach. After Smithville, Ricky spent time at Stafford HS, Alief Hastings HS, and Deer Park HS consistently guiding his teams to playoffs appearances.
Coach Crawford has worked University of Houston Cougar Baseball Camps for a number of years. He has also coached with Mizuno Houston Select and the Baytown Knights working with a number of 13U, 14U and College Teams.
