Chris Lopez

 

Chris Lopez comes to the Houston Athletics after a stellar High School and College baseball Career.

 

A Houston Area prep standout, Chris was a 2-year started at Houston Waltrip High School, before finishing his high school career at Westbury Christian School.

 

During his time at Waltrip, Chris played a key role on the best team in the history of the program, guiding the Rams to a Regional Final appearance in 2009. Heading into his junior year, Lopez transferred to Westbury Christian School. At Westbury Christian School, Chris continued to take teams to new heights. During his brief time at WCS, Chris enjoyed a 48-19 record and a trip to the 2011 TAPPS State Final-Four.

 

 After graduation, Chris continued his baseball career at Texarkana Junior College. After a year at Texarkana, Chris transferred to Galveston College, before eventually heading to Texas Southern University. During his senior year, Chris and the TSU Tigers went on a tear as they won the SWAC Conference and SWAC Tournament earning a spot in the College Station Regional (TSU, Texas A&M, Cal, and Coastal Carolina).
